Membership Structure

(Membership year is October 1 through September 30. )

1. Developing Charter Schools
Developing Charter Schools is a provisional membership and is open to individuals or organizations that have submitted charter school applications, but are not yet operating within Maryland. Developing Charter School status will last for a period not to exceed 24 months. Developing Charter School members do not have voting rights. Dues for Developing Charter School membership will be $100 annually.

2. Full Members

Full membership is open to charter schools operating within Maryland which hold a valid contract with a Maryland authorizing agency and which support the guiding principles of the Network. Full members have voting rights. Dues for member schools varies and is based on number of students.

3. Formation Groups

Formation Group membership is open to organizations or founding groups engaged in the early process of developing a charter school within Maryland. Formation Group members do not have voting rights. Dues for Formation Groups will be $75 annually.

4. Individual Member

Individual members are teachers, administrators, parents, high school and college students 16 years of age and older, and any other person residing within or outside Maryland who supports the MCSN mission and the health and welfare of charter schools. Individual members do not have voting rights. Dues for individual members will be $50 annually.
